Our petition to the New Zealand Parliament is now live.
For those who didn’t see previously, we have begin a petition to amend the KiwiSaver Act, to permit under-18 dual US-NZ tax residents to close their KiwiSaver accounts.
As it currently stands, KiwiSaver can create reporting requirements even for US citizen children, with no option to close the account.
This has recently been covered in a Stuff news article, and is likely to be covered in further media coverage too.
