The final deadline of the year, 15th October 2018 is fast approaching. This is the time of year where many of us are awaiting IRS assessment for returns filed earlier in the year. It is well worth remembering the IRS Taxpayer Bill of Rights, ensuring you are treated fairly before the IRS. We’ll start off with 10 parts of the taxpayer bill of rights:

Taxpayers have the right to know what they need to do to comply with the tax laws. They are entitled to clear explanations of the laws and IRS procedures in all tax forms, instructions, publications, notices, and correspondence. They have the right to be informed of IRS decisions about their tax accounts and to receive clear explanations of the outcomes.
